Measles Outbreak – MMR National Catch-up Campaign 1-25 year olds

There is a urgent national campaign to offer unvaccinated 1-25 year olds the MMR vaccine, which protects against Measles, Mumps & Rubella. There are currently rising numbers of outbreaks across the country of measles.

We have now held walk in and Saturday clinics but if you are eligible and wish to have vaccinated then please call the surgery to book an appointment with our Nurses. This can only be booked with our team and not online.

NHS England will also be texting parents of children from 6yrs and adults up to 25 years of age, who have not had the MMR vaccine, to advise that if they wish to receive this, to contact your usual GP practice to book in.

Measles is extremely infectious, it is estimated that 1 child infects up to 15 other children. Measles can cause serious complications. For more information please see the below NHS information page:
